Dear Razza Matazz,

I went shopping for some of your stockings today. Due to my chronic addiction to chocolate (see previous post), I tend to navigate towards your ‘fuller figure’ stockings, the ones that you so graciously call curvaceous (who are you kidding?).

Usually, the stockings come in a package like this:

Note the appropriately curvy model on the front. TBH, she probably still buys the standard sizes, but at least she looks the part. I look at this picture and I know that I’m looking at the stockings that will fit.

Today when I went shopping I didn’t see your familiar model. In fact I didn’t see any plus size models, so I assumed that they were out of stock and I would have to wear trousers for the rest of this week. However, on closer inspection, I found these:

Apparently you’ve updated the packaging. The text says ‘curvaceous’ and ‘for the fuller figure’, but the picture tells a different story.

Perhaps this girl is a bit bootylicious, and it looks like she even has thigh muscles (gasp!!), but she shouldn’t be modelling stockings for the fuller figure. Her figure isn’t fuller. It’s just about full.

Cut the crap, and stop making me feel even more ginormous by putting these kinds of models on your packaging.

Also, get that girl some counselling, she will have some major body dysmorphia issues after you’re through.

I set fire to a chocolate muffin today. I popped it in the microwave to get some gooey heatedness going. Sometimes, our microwave likes to turn, but sometimes it doesn’t. Today was one of the more stationary days.

Needless to say, the room filled with smoke and we discovered that our fire alarm doesn’t work. It was my last muffin too

They really were the most divine treats, and tasted good on their own or warm (not burnt) with a bit of icecream. They were almost brownies, really.

The recipe can be found here. It says they make 6 muffins but we made twice that using cupcake sized molds, and they are so rich you don’t want to make them bigger.

I know they were triple J’s feature album recently, but I was totally in to them before they were cool. I will be in the same city when they play at St Jerome’s Laneway festival in Melbourne, but unfortunately I’ll be missing them to attend a wedding on that day. (Maybe. Their website be down at the moment so I can’t confirm the dates.) Bah…

I love how their songs build with layers of harmonies and they have some beautiful lyrics. I do not like their pretentious facial hair though. I tried to find ‘Sigh no more’ as I reckon it’s the best song on their album, but all the videos online are rubbish bootlegs. Still, this is a pretty awesome version of ‘Little lion man’ shot in a library.

I’m really hoping they schedule some more shows for Australia. They look like one of those bands that are in their element live.

Gotta love exams, there’s nothing like sitting on facebook feeling guilty about not studying. Unfortunately, all this procrastination study seems to be frying my brain. This week I have:

- locked the house up when I left. Whilst Matt was still inside. Twice.

- Made cups of tea and forgotten to drink them. I think that’s fairly normal. But yesterday I put a Berocca in my glass then walked away without filling it with water. Surely nobody’s short-term memory is THAT BAD.

- Submitted my tax with the wrong bank account details for them to send my tax return. Yikes.

Does this count as early-onset dementia?
